Religious Education
Religious Education (RE) plays a vital role in helping children explore the beliefs, values, and traditions of a range of religions and worldviews. Our curriculum encourages respect, empathy, and curiosity, enabling pupils to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others in a diverse and ever-changing world.
We use our Key Knowledge Progression Documents (KKPDs) to carefully track and plan the knowledge taught in RE across each year group. This ensures that our curriculum is thoughtfully sequenced, allowing children to build on prior learning and make meaningful connections between different faiths and cultural practices.
Through stories, celebrations, discussions, and reflective activities, children are encouraged to ask questions, express their thoughts, and appreciate the richness of religious and non-religious worldviews. Our aim is to foster a sense of belonging, mutual respect, and a strong moral foundation in every child.
