Computing

Our Computing curriculum is designed to equip children with the foundational skills and understanding they need to thrive in a digital world. We aim to develop confident, responsible, and creative users of technology who can explore, create, and problem-solve using a range of digital tools.

We track the knowledge and skills taught in Computing through our Key Knowledge Progression Documents (KKPDs). These documents ensure that we plan for the specific knowledge required in each year group and allow us to sequence learning effectively. This structured approach helps children build on prior knowledge and develop a secure understanding of key computing concepts over time.

From learning how to stay safe online to exploring coding, algorithms, and digital media, our pupils are introduced to the essential building blocks of computing in an age-appropriate and engaging way. Our goal is to foster curiosity, resilience, and digital literacy, preparing every child to navigate and contribute to the digital world with confidence and care.
