PSHRE

PSHRE (Personal, Social, Health and Relationships Education) is at the heart of our curriculum. It supports children’s emotional, social, and physical development, helping them to grow into confident, respectful, and responsible individuals. Through PSHRE, we equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to lead safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives- +both now and in the future.

We track the knowledge taught in PSHRE through our Key Knowledge Progression Documents (KKPDs). These documents ensure that we plan for the specific knowledge required in each year group and that our curriculum is carefully sequenced. This allows children to build on their understanding year by year, reinforcing key concepts such as friendship, safety, wellbeing, and diversity.

Our PSHRE curriculum is inclusive and age-appropriate, covering a wide range of topics including emotional literacy, healthy relationships, personal safety, and mental health. We create a safe and supportive environment where children feel confident to express themselves, ask questions, and develop a strong sense of self and community.
